Product Introduction

Shore Power (Alternative Maritime Power AMP)

Full EPC System

Product Overview

Our complete Shore Power (AMP) system delivers one-stop EPC solutions for shore-side port terminals and onboard vessel retrofits, fully compliant with IEC 80005, ISO and IEEE international standards, as well as all major IACS classification society requirements including CCS, DNV, BV, LR, ABS, NK.
When vessels berth, the AMP system supplies stable land-based electricity to replace ship auxiliary diesel generators, cutting exhaust emissions, noise pollution and bunker fuel costs while helping shipowners meet global maritime low-carbon regulations such as IMO CII, EEXI and regional port emission control rules (EU 2014/94 Directive, California shore power mandatory policy).
The whole solution covers onshore power station equipment, shore cable management system, connection assemblies, onboard matching cabinets and full after-sales technical service, applicable to container terminals, bulk cargo berths, ro-ro terminals, luxury cruise ports and explosion-proof LNG terminals.

Full Product Range & Core Technical Parameters

1. Onshore Shore Power Equipment

(1) Containerized Variable Frequency Power Cabin

Rated power capacity: 500kVA ~ 4MVA, modular integrated design Voltage options: 400V / 690V / 6.6kV / 12kV Bidirectional frequency conversion: convert 50Hz to 60Hz and vice versa Protection class: IP56, fully sealed marine anti-corrosion coating Operating environment: -25°C ~ +60°C, relative humidity ≤95% Built-in components: marine dry-type transformer, high-efficiency frequency converter, UPS, central HMI control cabinet, fire detection & CO₂ automatic extinguishing system, ventilation & air conditioning unit

(2) Shore Cable Management System (CMS)

Three mainstream types for different port scenarios:
Fixed CMS: Equipped with telescopic boom, automatic cable retraction & release, stepless tension and speed adjustment, torque limit protection Self-propelled CMS: Mobile trolley design with 35m bilateral working range, climbing capacity ≤10°, built-in UPS Cruise-special HV CMS: Adapt to 7m tidal variation, supporting 4 HV power cables + control signal lines
Max single cable length: 100m (LV) / 65m (HV) Reel structure: double-support double bearing stainless steel drum, real-time cable monitoring & fault alarm output

(3) Shore Connection Box & Plug & Socket

Low voltage series: 440V, rated current 63A–800A, IP66 protection High voltage series: 6.6kV / 12kV, rated current 350A–500A, 316L stainless cabinet Standard compliance: IEC 80005 & IEC 62613, universal interconnection with third-party standard plugs Built-in functions: overload/short-circuit protection, phase sequence detection, dehumidification heating device, mechanical interlock, communication interface

2. Onboard Shore Power Matching Equipment

(1) Vessel Cable Reel (LV & HV)

Same tension control technology as shore CMS, compact layout designed for limited cabin space, automatic cable storage when leaving berth.

(2) Onboard Shore Power Control Cabinet

Voltage: 400V / 440V, 50/60Hz dual-frequency Capacity: 250A ~ 2000A customizable Core function: disturbance-free automatic switching between shore power and onboard generator set Equipped with multi-function power meter, insulation monitor, emergency stop button, anti-condensation treatment, IP22 protection

(3) HV Incoming Cabinet

For high-voltage large vessels (cruise ships, super container ships), combined incoming & control cabinet with PLC touch screen, full electrical safety interlock protection.

Complete EPC Service Scope

Pre-project support: port/vessel site survey, feasibility analysis, power load calculation, technical scheme design and budget quotation Equipment supply: full set of shore-side & onboard AMP hardware with classification society drawing approval On-site service: civil engineering coordination, equipment installation guidance, cable laying and system overall commissioning Survey & certification: assist customers to complete all classification society inspection and obtain official type certificates Training & after-sales: crew operation training, 7×24 remote technical support, global spare parts supply network

Key Advantages

Global frequency & voltage compatibility
Realize seamless matching between 50Hz shore grid and 60Hz vessel power grid, covering all vessel types navigating Asia, Europe, America and Southeast Asia without extra transformers. Remarkable energy-saving & emission-reduction benefits
Shut down onboard auxiliary engines at berth, eliminate NOₓ, SOₓ, particulate matter and noise; greatly reduce port emission penalties and daily fuel expenditure for shipowners. Modular containerized design for fast delivery
All core power units are pre-assembled in standard 20'/40' HC containers, shortening on-site construction cycle and reducing civil engineering investment. Complete classification certification support
All equipment can pass inspection by CCS, DNV-GL, BV, LR, ABS, NK to meet strict international port access standards. Mature mass project experience
We have delivered over 20 shore terminal AMP projects and more than 60 vessel retrofitting projects worldwide, with 280+ sets of CMS cable reels put into operation across cruise, bulk and container ports.

Applicable Vessels & Terminals

Terminals: container berths, bulk cargo terminals, ro-ro passenger terminals, luxury cruise home ports, explosion-proof LNG berths Vessels: container ships, bulk carriers, oil tankers, ro-pax ferries, luxury cruises, offshore working platforms
